I know.. I know… This place says SUSHI.. not Ramen. But you definitely have to try their ramen. It’s on their menu, not much options, but it has a few awesome Ramen! It’s located on the corner of Shepherd Dr. and Washington Ave. Oh.. FYI, that portion of Shepherd Dr. is a one way street.

The place itself is looking nice, I like their layout and decorations. It’s actually a place you can go for a dinner date. Weekday parking is not that bad, just watch where you park, since there are signs for reserved parking spots, however they offer valet parking.
Since it is typical fancy sushi restaurant, their ramen has slightly higher price. Their signature Ramen is the Texas Ramen, it has the bbq pork belly on it. However, I’m in the mission of hunting real Ramen, so I order the Spicy Miso Ramen. Btw, I just want to put it out there, this one is spicy for real. I mean, other places say spicy, but it wasn’t that spicy. This one is SPICY! Maybe not on your first spoon, but it’s getting spicier… and It’s a good remedy for your fever… ;)

The broth is great, not so thick, but definitely rich for sure! They even claim it in their menu:
“The ingredients in our pork broths are locally sourced from heritage breed farms. These animals were raised in an old fashioned manner without the use of commercial GMOs. Our ramens directly reflect the integrity of these farms and the quality of their products.”
Even though it’s pricier, but it’s definitely worth the money. The amount of stuff they put in your bowl are super! Several slices of pork belly, two types of mushroom: shiitake and enoki, the half-cooked egg, spinach, bamboo shoot (menma), seaweed (wakame), green onions, chili and habanero paste. Told ya, it contains spicy stuff!
Our waiter was so nice, turns out she’s a part time photographer. She helped us getting a good lighting for our picture. Thank you!! I’ll come back some time for sushi :)
Let me know which one is your favorite Ramen, talk to you next time on YciaRating!
