Houston!! Who doesn't know the Htown China Town?? We have a lot of good food here. This time I am so excited to share about Tiger Den. Located at the 9889 Bellaire Blvd. area (Intersection: B8 and Bellaire). This place is only open at night time, starting at 5pm til midnight. I traveled to Japan several times and really love their food, especially their ramen! Let's check this one out!
Depending on the time you come, this place got packed quickly. However, they allow you to put your name and how many people in your party, so you don't need to line up. When the queue is already long, I went to second floor. There is a Japanese store named Fit. It is basically Japanese Dollar Store... you can find random unique stuff and falling in love with it.. :)

The place has some classic Japanese pictures as their wallpaper and decoration. Once you got your table, they give you some water and menu right away which is what Ramen place at Japan will do. I order the classic Tonkotsu Ramen. The noodle is yellow (Kaedame), kind of handmade egg noodle which is good. The topping are: some slices of pork belly (Chashu Pork), tajistuke tamago - seasoned boiled egg (half-way boiled), some sweet butter corn (omorokoshi), wood ear mushroom (kikurage), seasoned bamboo shoot (menma), and some green scallions. All these topping are available for extra order, if you like to have more. The portion is medium for my taste, so for dinner, I would add some more noodles, pork belly, and the egg (just saying....). The broth is rich and tasty. :)

For dessert, I'm so curious to try the Tofu Cheesecake! I mean, I've been having tofu my whole life. From fried, boiled, grill, stir fry, raw, steam... but this one... it's a cheesecake! It came with this cute little jar, it has some type of berry's jam on the top. The taste is pretty good. It's like light tofu and cheese party in your mouth. I would say, for those of you that don't like tofu, you can't really taste tofu in it.. Just enjoy the dessert!

I love ramen, one of my favorite food! And of course, this is not my very first time having ramen. My very first ramen is when I was traveling to Tokyo, Japan.. It was back in 2009, I couldn't remember the name of it, but it was at Shinjuku area. And... I don't have the picture of it. :( Anyway, it was so so so good!! And I will definitely come back to Japan for RAMEN!!
If you guys ever been here, let me know which one if your favorite.
